Veterans Celebration

Leader: Phyllis Lammon

November 11th is set aside as a day to honor the men & women that have fought for the freedom of this country.  One Nation Under God.  We as a church, ten years ago, voted to begin a yearly celebration.  We invite all local veterans & their families as well as our church members to a special dinner, we follow this with a Christ centered program celebrating our freedom.  Our entire community is invited to the program.  We have music, poetry, speakers, gifts and the highlight of the program is the presentation of a flag, (that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol Bldg) to the veteran that has been chosen as the Veteran of the Year.
